A “GODNIGHT” PRAYER

July 22, 2009

The LORD said… “I will now rain down bread from heaven… Each day the people are to go out and gather their daily portion; thus will I test them, to see whether they follow my instructions or not.” (Exodus 16:4)

Lord, at the end of this day, I feel physically and emotionally spent. Yet, my spirit rejoices because You saw me through again today. Indeed, the strength that You give always suffices to sustain me each day. I peacefully lay my weary body to rest tonight believing that You will grant me renewed strength for the morrow. Tonight is going to be a “GODnight”, and tomorrow a “GODday.”This is my prayer in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving… For the Lord is good (Psalm 100: 4)

Lord, I choose to be a thankful person today.  I will remember that what I value increases in value; what I appreciate, appreciates.  When I bless You for my many favors, I am favored with Your many blessings.  When my thanksgiving goes up to You, Your blessings fall down on me.

So, thank you, Lord,  that Your blessings flood my life.  Thank you that I will never be in want ever again.  Thank you that I am surrounded by extremely loving people.  Thank you, Lord, that profound healing is happening in my life.  Thank you… Amen.

Do not let your hearts be troubled.  Believe in God; believe also in me.  (John 14:1)

Lord, odd as this may sound, I am thankful for the adversities that come into my life.  For, it is during times of adversities that I am really down on my knees.  And when I am down on my knees — that’s when I am closest to You.  So, thank you,  Lord.  Thank you…
